DeKalb County government will join community partners to host free seminars and events throughout the month of January that promote foreclosure prevention and intervention. These events are specifically designed to reach at-risk borrowers and inform them about resources and available options.

THE FORECLOSURE CRISIS: HOW DOES IT AFFECT YOU, YOUR PROPERTY VALUE, AND CRIME IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD? HOW CAN YOU AVOID IT?
Come hear a team of professionals including Bill Brennan of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society talk about the current foreclosure crisis, its background, causes and effects, and how consumers can avoid risky loans and predatory lenders. The seminar is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

Free and open to the public. Lenders and housing counselors will be available to help borrowers obtain work-outs from their mortgage companies. Walk-ins are welcome. Lunch will be served.
