MIDTOWN ATLANTA

Midtown Atlanta is the ideal neighborhood for people who thrive on an urban lifestyle. The neighborhood is located right at the pulsing heart of Atlanta's most celebrated attractions, including the arts and culture scene, Piedmont Park, the best in shopping and dining, a powerhouse business district, pedestrian-friendly streets and easy access to MARTA and the highways.

The Midtown neighborhood is located north of Downtown Atlanta, south of Buckhead and east of the I-75/I-85 Connector. Architectural styles range from Victorian, American Four Square and American Craftsman to trendy lofts to high-rise luxury condos with spectacular views of the city and beyond. The neighborhood is bordered by the 189-acre Piedmont Park, designed in 1887 by Frederick Law Olmstead, who also designed Central Park in New York City. Due to its rich history and significant buildings, Midtown was designated a National Historic District in 1999.

Just some of the major cultural venues nearby include the Atlanta Symphony, the High Museum of Art, the Alliance Theatre, the 14th Street Playhouse, the Fox Theater, the Atlanta Opera and the Atlanta Botanical Garden, among many others. Piedmont Park, in addition to offering tennis courts and soccer fields and walking paths, is host to such annual festivals as Montreux Jazz, Dogwood and Atlanta Gay Pride.  Midtown is also known for fabulous dining in cafes, bistros and five-star restaurants.  Clubs, taverns, bars and coffee houses can also be found at just about every corner. The area also offers some of the most upscale boutique shopping in the city. Other shopping venues occurring throughout the area include Atlantic Station, the multi-use development with residential, retail, entertainment, hotel and office space; Midtown Promenade, Midtown Place andTechnology Square, with more on the way.

But Midtown is not just a place with a thriving nightlife, it is also an extremely liveable neighborhood. The Midtown Neighborhood Association helps to assure that this vibrant and diverse neighborhood becomes an increasingly better community in which to enjoy the benefits of the urban experience.  The Association strives to develop solutions that continually improve Midtown's safety and quality of life, and give neighbors a voice in development and revitalization decisions. The Association also acts as the neighborhood's link to other communities, government agencies and elected officials.  The members of the Association seek to be inclusive, proactive and diligent in their commitment to serve the best interest of Midtown as a neighborhood by bringing together community in wide-ranging ways throughout the year.
